Emil Ruban is the India Country Manager for Ria Money Transfer since May 2016. With more than 17 years of experience in Business Development, Sales & Marketing, Product Management and Key Account Management in Financial Services, Emil has extensive knowledge of both urban & rural remittance & payment markets in the Asia Pacific & Middle East Region.

With a strong knowledge of in AML, Compliances, RBI guidelines & regulatory frameworks he has worked with the best money transfer companies in the world. He was India Country Manager for Xpress Money Services for three years after close to eight years with Western Union as the Sr. Country Manager, Business Development for South India.

He came to the money transfer world after successful experiences with BPL Mobile Cellular, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, AKAI Consumer Electronics and SmithKline Beecham Consumer Health Care.

Emil graduated from Madurai Kamaraj University with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Marketing in 1998 after graduating in Business Administration from the same university. Besides English, Emil is fluent in Tamil.
