Fethiye Tilbe is a visiting doctoral researcher at Regent’s University London Centre for Transnational Studies, the UK and currently a PhD candidate at Marmara University in Istanbul.

She holds a BA in Labour Economics and Industrial Relations from Sakarya University and MA in Finance from Atatürk University. She started her PHD in the department of Labour Economics at Marmara University in 2010.

She has also been working as a research assistant in the Department of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations at Namık Kemal University since 2011.Fethiye Tilbe’s PhD research on remittances is supervised by Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Sirkeci at Regent’s University London and Dr. Selmin Kaska at Marmara University. She is recipient of a doctoral research grant from TUBITAK for 2014-2015.
