Jesús Cervantes González
Jesus is the Statistics Training Coordinator and General Principles Program Coordinator for Remittance Markets in Latin America and the Caribbean at the Center for Latin American Monetary Studies – CEMLA, theAssociation of Central Banks in Latin America and the Caribbean. He previously worked for 33 years at the Bank of Mexico, half of which as Dir. of Economic Measurement, responsible for developing the Mexican Balance of Payments, including remittance statistics. Jesus has a BA in Economics from the U. Autonoma de Nuevo Leon, an MA in Economics from The College of Mexico and an MA and Ph.D. candidacy from the U. of Chicago. He has published several academic articles on international economic issues, migration and remittances, the profile of migrants and professor of economics at the U. Anahuac Norte in Mexico City.
