The “PNET Virtual Community” is constituted by individuals and institutions that request membership in the online system deployed by The Platinum Network for its websites and apps. We use BuddyBoss, a program developed by Boss Media Ltd. To become part of the community, individuals register/sign-up and fill their profiles with their information. The “PNET Profile” is the profile that members of the PNET Virtual Community have in the system with information about them. Members can delete their profiles at anytime and the information will be deleted from the system.

♦ RESTRICTIONS ON USE OF CONTENT

You acknowledge that the Content is the property of PNET and is protected in the U.S. and internationally by a variety of laws, including but not limited to, copyright laws and treaty provisions, trademark laws and other proprietary rights laws. As conference and event organizers, virtual or presential, we collect and store personal data when a person subscribes to announcements, social media channels, a company app and in the registration process for events, webinars, virtual roundtables, groups, etc. As organizers of networking events, we publish the name, company, and title of the attendees to help in the networking objective of the events it organizes. It also accepts individual requests for email introductions to other participants before, during and after the event. Participants that do not want to be introduced by organizers or want to keep their participation hidden are urged not to register or attend the event. If following an event the participant wishes us to remove its name or its information we will do so. Please contact us.

We do not sell contact details to third parties, nor provide data from participants to sponsors other than the data available to all participants. We ask all our employees, participants, speakers, panelists, sponsors, coordinators, judges, collaborators, etc. that come in contact with personal data collected by the company, to sign a Data Protection Statement to ensure we protect the information and prevent the unauthorized use of the personal information collected. We make every effort to protect personal information from unauthorized access or misuse and take reasonable steps to securely destroy records containing personal information when it is to be discarded so that the information is rendered undecipherable. Organizers do not collect Social Security Numbers, driver’s license or passport information for any purpose other than identification for payment collection purposes such as credit card payments if needed and makes an effort to prevent and restrict the sale of email addresses by any participant or sponsor of an event or use emails collected at the event for mass email marketing purposes. When passport information is collected to give participants a letter to be presented to consular offices for the sake of obtaining visas, the information collected is used only for this purpose.
